We’re trying to warn you here — Amazon’s UK site has clips from Bob Dylan’s soon-to-be-released Christmas album. Run away — far, far away — as fast as you can. Warn your friends. Just stay home by the fire and think frosty thoughts as you sip from that mug of whatever. Just don’t go anywhere near that link, for the love of Christmas, we beg you.
Bob Dylan singing Christmas carols? That’s about as good of an idea as mixing peanut butter with battery acid.
This album is painful in ways we cannot describe. It will, of course, become a cult classic (a la Leonard Nimoy singing Proud Mary or Rosanne singing the national anthem). People will no doubt collect it.
But no one in their right mind — save those who torture in third world prisons — will ever give it air time.
