I’m JayIsh and am proud to be the new music editor on this fabulous celebratory site! What does that mean you ask? I guess I’m still figuring that out, but I’m excited about it!

I’ve loved music for most of my life, in particular Christmas music. I love listening to Christmas music and I love singing Christmas music. Back in the olden days, I had the chance to perform some of these wonderful songs in public, both with choral groups and on my own. Now, I’m more a “shower and car singer.” So if you see some big guy driving along, smiling and singing at the top of his lungs, perhaps it’s me!

Because the music of Christmas is such an important part of the celebration, and such an integral part of the day itself, it’ll be my job to speak about what that music means and has meant to me and to society. We’ll hear about new records and news in general as it applies to Christmas music. Perhaps we’ll review some albums both old and new. Maybe we’ll discuss various versions of a single song. Maybe we’ll interview members of our Christmas family to find out what the music of Christmas has meant to them, what they remember from years gone by, and what their favorite songs are. Maybe we’ll even get to meet an artist or two!

I’m open to suggestions and look forward to comments both good and not so good. I’ll try and cover a broad spectrum of topics and I’m always interested in what interests other people!!! So, again, please contact me as often as you want!  More to follow!!!
