Christmas Music 24/7 II Shuts Down
By Jeff Westover on Jul 11, 2007 in Music News, Site News
In the first of many expected Christmas radio station closures slated to occur this next week, Christmas Music 24/7 has already switched off their newest stream, the all-instrumental Christmas 24/7 II channel.
Merry Christmas Radio is taking a wait and see position. If costs end up being “as advertised” our stream will likely close with everyone else. Our goal is to keep the music playing as long as we can. Please check back to these pages for updates as they occur.

Thanks for mentioning my station. I have reopened the flagship Christmas Music 24/7 station, but I am watching the situation very closely. If the CRB rates stand, I will owe around $8,000 for the last Christmas season. I really hope a compromise will be reached so I can reopen the instrumental station. Feedback from my listeners last year told me that they were looking forward to an all instrumental Christmas station, mainly to help the kids relax as they are going to bed.
