GLASVEGAS RECORDING CHRISTMAS ALBUM

Much-touted emotional reverb-loving Scotch-rockers Glasvegas are planning to record a Christmas album, according to The Daily Record, using songs they began writing in New York, which frontman James Allan thought weren’t quite right for the album (due early September).

Having wanted to record in a cathedral, they’ll be heading out to Transylvania, which is, according to NME.com, “famous city in the eastern European country of Romania”.

While I’m aware that few eastern Europeans employ articles, it seems excessively accommodating to mimmick that linguistic trait when discussing the slavs et al. in our own (superiour) language.

And Transylvania is almost as big as England, and is definitely not a city.

Still, a Christmas album - they’re usually good aren’t they?
