Matthew & Gunnar Nelson announced today their collaboration with Razor and Tie Records to record on the label’s upcoming “Monster Christmas” album, a follow up to the popular ‘Monster’ rock series albums.
The Nelson Brothers announced they would be releasing a new rock version of “Jingle Bell Rock”. The Nelson Brothers previously collaborated with Razor and Tie on the double platinum multi million selling “Monsters of Rock” and “Monster Ballads” albums.
Matthew Nelson and Gunnar Nelson are the twin sons of Rock’n'Roll Legend Ricky Nelson, of rock group NELSON whose pop/rock hits include “(Can’t Live Without Your) Love and Affection”, “After the Rain”, and “More Than Ever”. They are performing at the EPCOT® International Flower & Garden Festival / Flower Power Concert Series for the fifth year in a row. The concert series features popular music from the ’60s and ’70s. The Nelsons’ shows feature a tribute to their late father’s popular music including his famous hits. This year, the Nelsons plan to perform their new rendition of Ricky Nelson’s “Travelin’ Man”, recently released on the exclusive Target CD, “A Song for My Father”.
“We’re excited to be returning to EPCOT and the Flower Power series,” enthuses Matthew Nelson. Adds Gunnar Nelson, “Performing our Pop’s music, like ‘Travelin’ Man’ makes us feel closer to him, and the fans really seem to enjoy it.”
